Connected Care has already helped customers access cancer care 13 times faster and reduced unnecessary cardiology interventions by 40%. With such an impactful launch in the UK, we’re now investing to bring that to customers around the world.
Customers today want earlier answers, clearer decisions and seamless support navigating complex healthcare systems.
Bupa is redesigning healthcare to reflect these changing needs. Earlier intervention, better diagnostics and more connected care pathways can improve outcomes and reduce unnecessary steps – and that’s where Connected Care comes in.
Right care, right place, right time.
Speaking at Africa’s Intermediary Advisory Board, Dr Robin Clark, Medical Director, Bupa Global said: “We’re seeing a shift toward prevention and increased personalisation, using diagnostic results to give customers specific, actionable lifestyle advice before conditions escalate.”
We help our customers navigate this, connecting them to specialist support before conditions escalate, which reduces both wait times and anxiety. That’s changing our relationship with customers from insurance provider to trusted healthcare partner.
Expanding Connected Care to our global customers
Based on the success in the UK, we are investing in integrated, preventive healthcare pathways to better support our customers and their evolving needs.
- In Hong Kong, we have created a more seamless care experience for members, who can now book digital appointments with consultants in the Quality HealthCare (QHMS) network, directly through our Members World app
- In Singapore, a key growth market for us, we are strengthening our partnership with Raffles Health Insurance (celebrating 50 years as a trusted healthcare brand) to provide priority access and coordinated pathways for customers
- In the UAE we are improving our chronic condition management focus, preparing the launch of a digital-first diabetes programme that combines virtual support, clinical oversight and proactive disease management
- Across Egypt, Kenya, Hong Kong and Singapore, we are also developing condition-based pathways focused on cancer, cardiovascular and chronic disease management. We are increasingly using digital tools to connect customers to high-quality providers and guiding them through their healthcare journey
Technology is driving Connected Care around the world
“In cost and customer experience, technology is the most exciting enabler.”
Chris Hand, Global Medical Officer, Bupa Global, speaking at Africa’s Intermediary Advisory Board.
This is ‘Think global, act local’ in action – better healthcare experiences come from the combination of Connected Care pathways, local claims expertise, digital health tools and data-driven insight. An integrated healthcare system like this helps customers reach the right care sooner to make healthcare simpler, faster and more personalised.
